I know it says 40, but do people wash their fleece hotter than this?

Will it really shrink?

I used to wash my cage liners at 40 but they started to shrink. I now wash at 30 but use Vanish 99% hygiene as well to make sure all the germs are taken care of. I also have used Halo Sports Wash which is anti-bacterial & anti-fungal and can be used at low temperatures.

I'm sorry, I know the original post was how high you can wash but I thought I'd add my two cents in. x

I always wonder this too.. I wash mine at 40, but I'm not sure that that kills bacteria etc, they always smell and look fresh, but I'm still not convinced!

Sorry not to be more help lol!

I have an unfortunate mite issue thanks to my new boar so I was hoping to wash higher, I feel my fleece never smell fresh anyway I use no bio stuff, should I be buying other stuff?

I used to wash mine at 90, including fleecy beds and stuff. I never had any problems

I wash mine at 50 or 60 no problem. I try and do it as hot as I can to get all the nasties out (if there are any).

Thought some of you would! Dag nam it I just put some in at 40..

I'm cleaning them tomorrow after putting their new drops on so will do that lot at 60.

Thanks! What do you use?

I think mine is about 40 or 50. Can't remember off the top of my head. I worry about doing any hotter then that incase it shrinks!

I wash mine at 60 with no problems - the waterproof fleece I bought (bad choice!) I washed at 90 on its own and it was still waterproof - but it hadn't shrunk!
