Just wondered for those who use fleece to line the cages, what to you put your hay onto? I would like to try and keep the fleece a bit more free of hay that currently gets stuck inside the weave.

I have a couple of areas that I stuff with meadow hay for them to bed down on, then another area I throw timothy hay for them to munch.

It seems a shame not to use hay in the areas they lay / chill out in, as they do seem to prefer these over others.

my hay goes in hay racks or toilet tubes.

The herd do have a cat play cube pop up thing that is now full of hay for them to play with but that is the only area I allow them to play with hay

You can use hay trays or boxes to keep it more contained or if you have a c&c you can build a small extension (2x1) on top of the cage and have a hayloft (you can then use different substrate in that section).

I have two metal hay racks. They have several pillows and cozies, plus underneath the fleece are several layers of cotton diapers so there is plenty of soft areas for them to bed down on, I don't need to use hay for bedding.

Hi
