I was just browsing through old issues of guinea pig magazine, and found an advert for fleece flippers. At first glance they look excellent! My only concern is that, when your piggie wee's on it, surely the solid bit the fleece covered just gets soaked in it!

My pigs are housed outdoors, however I'm researching indoor housing for a future time.

Thanks in advance for any info on these. :)

I had no idea what you were talking about so I googled it and all the information about them can be found here - http://www.guineapigmarket.com/

There doesn't seem to be a UK source for them but it wouldn't be a difficult thing to make if you were already constructing a C&C cage.

Correx inbetween wouldnt get soaked. You would need to put something absorbant on inside of the flipper but personally I woildnt be happy with flipping them and leaving the dirty wee side underneath to grow germs!

They look appealing, but not sure if they'd be more hassle than they're worth! Might just go the old fashioned way!

Thats what I thought! Where does the pee go?! Don't think they'll be for me!

i think the idea is that when a portion is wet can be taken out and replaced without taking out whole thing.I use small bits of towel and fleece taht can be changed easily anyway.

I watched a video on youtube and they suggested brushing each section then flipping it over :( if you weren't going to flip them I think the correx middle is pointless and you would be better with mini cage liners which you could then replace as necessary

I agree with the not flipping principle but I think there is advantages to having the correx in to hold it flat and make daily cleaning easier - I think it would actually be quite good to make one sided ones with elasticated corners on the fleece similar to a fitted sheet.
