I have never had such a faff on in my life :( we bought two large fleeces and thought we could cut them to size, the first one would not fit so we have resigned them to use in a smaller cage. Then after we had fixed it for them they dug the corners up and got underneath. We digproofed the fleece and now they have overturned the bowl on top of it :| seems like its gonna be hell trying to keep it tidy

I agree with Nutmeg keeping a guinea pig cage tidy is not something that can happen, by nature they love to make a mess and if that incidentally drives their slaves do lally tap then even better as far as they concerned ;)

it is hopeless tryin to keep their homes tidy but on the up side i get to spend a little extra time talking to my boys in the morning & evening plus i get to tell them off for being messy :)p instead of them shouting at me for breakfast :)p:)p

Dont worry my Boys go under it and my girl turns her bowl over and get's food everywhere, its fun to them :))
xx

its just when you see pictures people have posted of their fleece cages they always look spotless :( dear me i guess ill have to start being less of a neat freak and just let them enjoy it, Silver has already overturned the bowl and there are poops everywhere *sighs*

Dont panic hun, it never stays tidy for more than 5 minutes so we always have to get piccies quick :))
xx

We take all our pictures before we put the piggies in and then just as they go in! Within a few minutes they have rearranged everything and pooped everywhere :(|)

Hehe! My three can make a mess in seconds!
Our Pippa is a digger too, so everything has to be fastened down. Pixel is a little poop-machine all by herself and Willow isn't happy til all the hay has been removed from the corner and spread far and wide rolleyes :))

you can try and litter train them with some degree of success..... mine were very good till we introduced a new piggy and it all seems to have gone out the window rolleyes

to stop mine digging through i used bulldog clips worked a treat though is rather fiddly in my cage!

I have bull dogclips holding my fleace down. They cant get unde it now. My girls also turn the food bowl over as soon as they are fed. I bush down the fleace 2-3 times a day but they are still messy. i have a litter tray with sawdust in the bottom and hay on top. that seems to keep the poop in one place. :)
