My fleece liners I made tonight to go in the boys hutch

These are made with a fleece topper, wadding filled and mattress protector on the bottom to make them water proof. Just sew them all together.

I make mine with sides

You make them like you would make a box out of paper, make the net then sew up the sides. :) They too have a matress protector under the fleece. My only advice is wash the fleece before sewing it, as i did have one of my three fleeces shrink on me after i washed it mallethead

Depends what they are going in :P lol :).
Mine are to go in hutches so dont need the sides. If they are for an indoor cage or C&C then sides help to stop the liner moveing :).

Sorry I can be a bit simple when it comes to these things. Ive got some old fleece blankets i want to convert into liners. The rescue piggies Temp house is basically a big ottoman whilst I'm waiting for thier indoor and outdoor one to be delievered so i want to just make something quick and similar to put into c&c cages.

SOoooooo.. firstly would like a old (clean) shower curtain be suitable for the waterproof backing? seen some clear plasticly ones in poundland and thought it would probably machine wash on low temps

The wadding is tripping me up abit as well :S what do you use? how many layers?

Would it be in a layer like this:

Fleece
Wadding (either microfibre material or wadding you buy from fabric shop?)
BIt more wadding
waterproof backing?

Currently ive got them on puppy pads newspaper and then the fleece blanket which i have done the washing process to make it wick away. which seems to be working but i want something to get rid of the towels and puppy pads which i can just wash and reuse.

Fleece, Dacron, Water proof backing (if using a shower curtain make sure its not the thin plastic type!), fleece.

I would be carefull with the shower curtain - simply because ive found you need to wash on high temps every so often, to keep everything propperly clean. However ofcourse the decision is up to you :)

Yes they tend to melt! if the plastic type is used, go for a fabric based one!

i used a waterproof bed protector on my first 3 liners, first one my pigs found the edge n chewed all the plastic :O 2nd got chewed a little and got badly ripped in the washer and the 3rd got put in the dryer by mistac and melted badly .

now i use 100% polyester bed protectors and i have to say they dry out alot better , i found with the plastic ones the pee would just sit inside and stink, but with these polyester and cotton ones it smells lovley in here :)
