Hi all, this is my first time posting here! Id like some advice... I've made a run for my 3 piggies and made up the correx 'trays', my next job is to make the fleece liners, but I don't know whether to sew sides on or not! I like the idea of nice neat sides that fold over the edges of the correx to keep everything in place, but my mum and hubby thinks it'll be a waste of time and effort. Can anyone give me advice, or let me know what you'd recommend? Thanks :-)

I have used both. There are pros and cons for both. I prefer the ones with sides.

No sides:
Pros:
Easy to roll up for cage cleaning.
Cons:
Poop can get in the gaps between the pad and the wall of the cage. I've made mine with extra 1" on all sides, and poop still get under the pads.
My female pig likes to spray pee on the walls. This is why I prefer the pads with sides.

With sides:
Pros:
Protect the wall from pee.
Poop don't fall into the crack between the pad and the wall.
Cons:
Harder to change. You have to be able to remove the correx tray from the cage to change the pads. If you have a loft, it might make it more difficult.

Personally i have mine without the sides, i find it just much more simple. It's easier to make without sides, less hassle to put on and i personally couldn't see any benefit from adding sides to mine. But i think any sort of cage liner is a god send they just make cleaning so much easier!
I considered adding sides at one point as my pigs like to chew correx, but instead i made a fence around the side of my cage on the inside, out of sea grass matts so they can chew those instead.
