Is there any way to stop Guinea Pigs digging under their fleece? It drives me mad, mallethead every two seconds I have to straighten out their fleece! In their cage they have two fleece blankets that meet halfway as they are alone too small to cover the whole cage. So it makes it super easy for them to dig underneath and soak the towels underneath with wee! I've tried tucking the fleece under the towels but they still manage to get under. I've tried weighing it down with their houses but they still get under! The fleece is too small to bulldog clip onto the Choloroplast so what should I do? They have plenty of houses to hide in: two snug cardboard boxes, a plastic igloo, a wooden arch, a tube and a fleece pouch but they still feel the need to go under. rolleyes Not only is it messy it means I never see them as they are constantly underneath. What tips do you have to stopping them from fleece burrowing? :x pow-pow

The only thing you can do is to just place another fleece on lightly so they use that. It is a real pain!

Aha they are so mischievous :)p I'm thinking of just buying a big fleece blankets that will fit over the sides so I can clip the fleece down.

I have a female who does this and my fleece were cage size with sown in liners, i have tried clipping it down and she still found a way under unless i used clips every few cm, making quick change not so quick, i also tried laying extra fleece on the top and she just burrowed in a different place! now i have several smaller pieces in each C&C and i change the place she burrows under daily sometimes twice a day depending on the amount of wee...you have my sympathy mallethead
