Fleece Bedding

Hi guys ,if I was to make my own fleece bedding etc is it OK to get kids fleece material?is it safe for piggies?also do guinea pig fleece need to be washed using special detergent that's for pets rather than human stuff?xx

Wash fleece with powder only never softener. It needs several washes to make it wick mositure away

We use fleece like this Polar Fleece Throw 2pk You don't want stuff that is too shiny or fluffy that the bots come off

Yes, just persil

I use non-bio liquid just in case the bio is too strong for them. Wash at 60 degrees to kill bacteria and mould spores.

As long as it is 100% polyester (as shown in sport_billy's link) it should be fine and wick easily after a few washes. We also use Persil non-bio, some people add a slosh of white vinegar to the rinse cycle.
