Fleece Bedding

Hi everyone

Was just after a little of your wonderful advice!
Am using wood shavings at the mo as recommended by pets at home- but have noticed that a lot if people are using fleece. Is this just a normal fleece from any shop? How would I use it effectively? I want to make my piggies as happy as I can and want to do the very best for them! Xx

Hello. Welcome to the forum. The fleece is the standard fleece you see in places like primark and supermarkets. You have to use two layers then an absorbent layer underneath such as towels. What you need to do is to wash it three times without fabric conditioner to ensure it wicks away urine then it is ready to use. It needs to be washed every three days on 60 degrees to kill any bacteria. Poops need to be removed twice a day.
