Hi all,

We have decided to go back to fleece bedding for cost and mess reasons!

I looked up the tips on fleece bedding and have just found these at Dunhelm Mill.

http://www.dunelm-mill.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10551&catalogId=14100&productId=265607&summaryOnly=true&bct=ordersummary

I was wondering whether they would be suitable? They are 100% polyester, and I am guessing they will be quite thin, so I was planning to get around 10 so we can layer them up above some newspaper or towels, or training pads.

I also thought I would link to it in case they were suitable and anybody wanted to get some - they are only 99p! I wanted to ask though because I wanted to make sure they were okay, I guess the price of them made me wonder a little. They also come in a variety of colours.

If anyone wants some but does not have a Dunhelm Mill around them, I am happy to collect them from store.

Thanks in advance xox

They are fine. :)

You don't need to layer the fleece, just use one at a time. It wicks the moisture down so long as you have plenty of absorbant layers underneath (such as the towels and puppy pads) it'll be fine.

My favourite fleece is the IKEA fleece blankets - they're thick, cheap, don't bobble, stretch or shrink too much. I try not to go to IKEA too ooften (far too much tempting stuff!) but I pick up one of those blankets most times and have a store of them for when I need them :)

Dunelm is my second favourite source of such things though.

I love IKEA too - we don't have one too near us which believe me cuts down on the spending! I come away with all sorts when I go there ;)

We picked up 10 fleeces in the end! Very bright colours too :) xox

I'm getting stuff together for fleece. It's going to have 3 layers- the bottom layer is waterproof pad, the top is fleece, and the middle absorbent will be diapers- I found a diaper company that sells off its used but clean diapers for pretty cheap. I'm going to use binder clips to clip the layers to an extra piece of coroplast on the bottom of my C&C cage.

Managed to get the fleeces washed several times and dry - so fitted them today! I have put a layer of newspaper, then towels and then the fleece on top. I have tried EVERYWHERE to find bulldog clips so I can clip it to the corroplast, but at the moment I have managed to fasten it until I get some in the post.

They were SO happy when they got plonked on the fleece that the veg I had just put out for them got completely ignored in favour of popcorning! Was very very cute :) xox
