Does anyone use fleece bedding in a Ferplast type cage? How do you keep the fleece attached in the corners without the piggys getting under it. I'm thinking of switching to fleece if I can over come this problem.
Thank you

David

there was mention of this in the commercial cages section in the housing part of the forum - someone wrote that they made holes or ties to fix the fleece down so the piggies couldn't burrow under - later today I will have a look through that again and direct you to it - I've been sussing out a cage and remember coming across that.

have a look but if you don't find it I will look later for you :D

Cage Type: midwest guinea pig habitat
Where it was purchased or how it was made : purchased on amazon
What size it is : Each cage is 8 square feet
How many piggies are kept in it: 2 males
How easy it is to keep clean/if you'd recommend it: The velcro straps are annoying to unstrap
and re-strap when changing the fleece but it is does prevent them from being able to burrow in
the fleece which is great. It is a bit flimsy too but overall it is a good cage and I would recommend
it.

@Davey-cavy the text with info on attaching fleece was actually for the midwest guinea pig habitat, knew I'd seen it somewhere! :)

but other pics in the commercial cage section just say they put the fleece in and clip the lid on top like what @madguinealady suggested - and that sounds like a good idea to me (if I were to use fleece )

as others say, put the fleece in, covering the botttom and going up the sides of the base and let it hang over the sides, then attach the top. for liners that just sit in the base, sew on some velcro to the corners and stick the other side of the velcro on the base of the cage, that works too.

I did it with my rats but fleece didn't work for them they just chewed through it
