Hello,

I'm thinking of switching my indoor piggies to puppy pads and fleece caghe liners over the top? does anyone else use the same combination? Does it work well? I'm thinking it will be easier to clean out than messy bedding?

Also making homemade fleece cage liners ios two layers of fleece ok? sewn just round the edge of does it need to be sewn across the width too to keep it in shape/together?

Thanks for any advice :)

Hi for fleece to work it needs to be on top of the absorbent layer so two layers doesn't work. How I do it is a layer of mattress protector, puppy pads in the high wee areas( with a white mattress protector you soon see where these areas are) and then one layer of fleece. I don't see the need to sew the layers together. My puppy pads get changed every two days and I shake the fleece off and tun it upside down and then the mattress protector is changed every week.

I know this sounds silly but what kind of mattress topper do you use? E.g. quilted, waterproof .. ?

So I just cut one layer of fleece and put in ontop of the puppy pads?

I bought the puppy pads today and I have the fleec ready to cut...
