HI GUYS.
I just wanted to ask about fleece and absorbant layers.
I was using puppy but have changed to a washable bed mat with some puppy pads around edges. Is the reusable may OK to use.

ALSO I am not sure the fleece is wicking properly its not beading I can see the stain where it's wet, but when I look underneath the puppy pad is dry? Is it just a case of washing it a bit more.
How long does it take for fleece to be dry when urine goes through.
OR IS it the absorbant layer that is not absorbing the moisture away?
I Washed about 4times, do I need to put it on a dry cycle in between each wash load.

SORRY for all the questions, I don't want to give up on the fleece, it's so much easier to sweep poos etc. But I am worried if the fleece isn't staying dry.

Washable puppy pads or bed mats are fine to use

Not all types of fleece wick properly. You can try washing it multiple times, sometimes using vinegar in the wash can help strip off anything which is stopping it wicking. Don’t use fabric softener. Sometimes though even after you’ve done all this, some fleece just won’t wick

Thanks OK il give it a try perhapsi just need a bit more washing.

UPDATE-
I have put Leo back on megazorb temporarily as I wasn't sure if it was the fleece making his feet slightly red.
His feet are still red, sometimes it looks better sometimes more red. There is no peeling. I check where he sleeps, it's not soaking with urine.
What else can i do..
He has had some anti inflammatory from vets, I did put a bit of ointment from gorgeous guineas, but I don't think I should keep putting it on?
Many thanks
