Hi all, a bit ago I mentioned someone brought dog fleas to my house.. and they’re still here it seems :( does anyone know of something to put on my bedding and carpet to make them leave? It’ll be in the same room as the piggie room, I’ve put up with the fleas biting me because I don’t want to disturb my boys but it’s becoming very uncomfortable x

Dog fleas are a nightmare. You will probably need to move the piggies to another room and then spray your carpets, upholstery and rugs with a flea spray. Make sure you spray right up to the skirting boards. I'm afraid nothing will make them just leave. Wash your bedding at 60C and vacuum your mattress, bed frame, etc. The flea sprays are usually active for a couple of weeks to break the flea cycle but you may need spray a second time.

I'm sure your piggies won't mind a change of scenery for a few hours.

Thank you, will find some flea spray and start that soon. Sick of being so itchy! :(

When my cats had fleas I used the Johnsons flea spray in the corners of the room and with them being treated too,it seemed to do the trick.I too am very prone to being bitten so you have my sympathy.

I agree, you will need to remove the piggies from the room and treat it with a good quality room flea spray. I got one from the vet years ago when I had a cat. I ended up having to treat the whole house (sorry don't want to worry you but be aware) they breed like mad.
Another time when a tenant had a cat that infested the annex with fleas I had to get a professional in who smoke bombed the area, they were even up the walls that time.

That's another good product, the smoke bomb.I had to use one once a couple of years ago when my room was infested with flies, there was that many I actually googled the words demonic and fly's on Google.I must've watched the amytiville horror too many times lol.It did the job and I think they're supposed to work for fleas too.I got a pack of 2 from Amazon for around £15 I think.Obviously there can be no animals in the room you use it in and I think you can't let animals in that room for 24 hours after if I remember correctly.
