Hello
Last Thursday I bought an 8 week old female. She settled quickly, loves her cuddles and will fall asleep on my lap. Today I decided to give her a friend. So I bought another girl from the same litter. They were introduced on neutral ground and got on straight away. They have eaten together and are now sleeping in their house together. I do have other options so they don't have to sleep together.
They are both squeaking and things seem ok. I'm loving being a mummy to them. They are called Honey & Pickle.
Is it usual for things to go so well or can things still kick off between them? Any advice greatly appreciated.

Hi Lorraine,

Welcome to the forum, sounds good so far, expect the odd rumble and attempts at mounting as they sort out their hierarchy. Sounds like its going really well so far!

Honey is a caramel and white and Pickle is caramel, white and black. I love them so much. I shall take some photos at the weekend and post them.
Thank you for your warm welcome

Hi and welcome Lorraine!

Great that you have given your little girl company; you will enjoy it, too! You may see some dominance behaviour as the girls are settling in and establishing a hierarchy, but it will hopefully be only mild.

With members from all over the world, we are grateful if you added your country, state or (for the UK) your county/general area so we can always give you the appropriate advice and recommendationsfor your part of the globe straight away! You can do so by clicking on your name on the top bar, then go to personal details, then location. In the same section, you can also upload the avatar. Hi Lorraine, welcome to the forum. Your girls sound lovely.

When I have introduced Babies it went really easily. So pleased for you

They've been together over 24hrs and things are going well. Pickle who I got yesterday is taking food from me. Then Honey wanted some so she did it too. They just love their little wooden cottage.
I never knew guinea pigs could bring so much pleasure.
