Hi, we have had to come up to my mums house while she is away so that we can look after her puppy and fish, we have brought our duo up and they are in their own room where the puppy can’t even say hello as we’re not sure how that will go and would rather not risk it. We brought up they’re unwashed bedding so that it would still have they’re scent and have given them veggies but they don’t seem to be eating, just hiding, I’m assuming that they will have gone back to the behaviour they had when we first got them and are just hiding until they feel safe? Is there anything I should look out for while they are here as I’m just a little bit worried as it’s they’re first time being anywhere that isn’t home.

I should clarify when I say they’re not eating I mean they’ve been here for an hour and they still have veggies, so it really hasn’t been that long, and I’m probably being dramatic pig mumma

Try not to worry.
Do as you would with new piggies - cover the cage and give them some time to settle, obviously keeping an eye on them/normal weight checks etc and ensuring they do eat hay as you would at home.

I'd give them time. Even if they're in their own home (ie, cage) with familiar bedding the outside environment is new to them. New noises, new smells, that kind of thing. They'll just take a while to adjust.

I’m sure they will settle soon, perhaps place their food near where they are hiding, there will be strange smells and different noises but they’ll soon settle down x
