Hello,

I got the girls out for their first lap time today. I expected them to be a little nervous which they are. They're so tiny and fast! Took a while to get them in a box to lift them out the hutch.

I'm just worried I'm really making them scared! I took my time with them and they're snuggled in a fleece eating pepper on the sofa.

I know whenever I take them out their hutch for the first time they will be nervous and that they need to get used to it.

I'm just feeling a little guilty right now.

If the are eating whilst out the cage then I would think this is a good sign :) my new girl took a while to take food from me whilst out on my lap or on the sofa on fleece. They will get used to it come time.

What are you feeling guilty about?
If they are snuggled eating pepper as you say, it sounds like they're very relaxed. This is how you get them to know you!
Keep up the good work. :)

Thank you for the reassurance! I just felt guilty about making them a little scared. They go from being snuggled and eating to jumping on one another after they get spooked by a noise. They have both eaten from my hand and Mabel came over to me , gave my hand a good sniff and then ran back in the fleece.

Wow they are eating from you already! That is fantastic. You have nothing to worry about. They are gorgeous girlies.

Yes Mabel more so than Amber. :) Mabel took cucumber from me. Thank you! They're such characters. Really fun to have them out for lap time.
