For the last few days my little sewing machine has been buzzing. From 4 metres of fleece plus bits and pieces I already had from other projects, a waterproof mattress protector and a couple of towels I made this lot plus have some to spare and some cut out to make

....... 4 double sized lap pads/soaker pads, 4 single soaker pads, a tunnel, a cozy cup and 2 cuddle sacks, a couple of little ones to put under water bottles plus some extra little mats to go inside the tunnel and the cuddle cup. Now I'm all sewn out so have put my little machine away for a few months. This is the pink and Blue collection. I rather fancy a bright funky collection as well!

Love them. Lucky pigs... i sooo want a sewing machine. I love them, your so clever :D

P.S Would love to see a tutorial on how to make some of the items? I want to make my own once i can afford a sewing machine etc.

Thanks and again they are great! Well done!

Thanks everyone. It makes a change from making curtains! The pads were boring to make, I hated putting the boning in the tunnel but loved making the rest. I'm not getting piggies until later in the year ... Trying to spread the cost :-)

Those are fantastic. I have bought a machine recently but I am fairly pants at it I have managed 4 bottle pads (with wobbly stiching) and two cuddle sacs but I am pretty useless. I want to make some cuddle cups but not sure where to start did you have a pattern?

Its fab you are so organised most people buy pigs then worry about what they need!

Thanks that is fantastic just realised I made all mine wrong :mal:

i have never been taught I didnt know you should sew stuff Inside out no wonder mine are messy lol

Can i ask what sewing machines people have? I have seen a few reasonable priced ones, but worry they are not suitable for making piggie things...

I have something ancient from a charity shop so can't really help you out :P

These are lovely by the way :D

I just bought a Toyota JSA21 Jeans from Argos for around £149.00, I find it really easy to use and I have never ever been shown how to use a sewing machine. I cannot sew in a straight line nor do I know what needles etc.. to use but I think the fact it is a good machine it kinda "puts up with me". Also I have snapped a far few needles lol.

On second thoughts you might need to ask someone more professional :lol!:

I love my new sewing machine! I got it for Christmas but have been so busy at work I have not used it much. I cant wait to start making things for the piggies. Your things are gorgeous - I love the colours :) Does the cupcake them co-ordinate with your house?

My sewing machine is a janome jem 760. It's a small one but seems to cope OK. I only broke one needle!

No co ordination. The cupcake fabric is what I had left over from another project. I like pink :-)

Get yourself an old hand operated singer if your new to sewing. They can be picked up fairly cheap at carboots etc, between me and my mum we have 3! I love it, your hand is controlling the speed so if you need to slow down for fiddly bits its super easy.
