Finding A Friend

I have a male guinea pig and we’re looking to find him a friend, i do not want to go to a pets store and buy one as i know that’s not the right thing and they may not get along and i’m looking for a way of introducing him to some potential friends. i have no rescue centres near me so I don’t have that option so just wondering if anyone has any ideas on how i can introduce him to new guineas in different ways to look for a potential friend
