Find a good Vet - Moray, Scotland

Hi everyone, I am trying to find a vets near me that are Good with Guinea Pigs. The vets I go to at the moment are not an exotic vets and Iam not completely confident with them for my Piggies. The Forums list has one in Aberdeen but I am 50 miles away from there. Would you recommend I ring around all the vets near me? I live in Dufftown Moray Scotland. Also what facebook Guinea pig groups do you recommend. Thank you everyone ❤🐹
 
I'd echo what Claire W said. I would ring around and see if there is a particular vet at the practices that has an interest in piggies. I always try to see the same vet for my piggies as she has a lot of experience and knowledge and she's open minded which I like. All you can do is ask. Perhaps pop into the vets and speak to them if you are local. Hope you find one you can trust with your piggies xx
 
Is there a Pets at Home near you? They have in store vets called Vets4Pets. I have been lucky enough that the two Vets4Pets I've used (one where I used to live and the one where I live now) have some very good small animal vets. Not all of them do, just like any other Vets Practices. They are a bit more expensive than other vets locally but are open on a Saturday and Sunday as normal hours (when the shop is open) and you don't have to pay the out of hours fee.

I haven't found any good Facebook sites. Even some Rescue sites give out incorrect information. Unfortunately, anyone can call themselves a Rescue and not be a good one.
 
Thank you everyone. I like the idea of asking for the same vets all of the time as one of the vets at mine is particularly good, however, she isn't always available. Unfortunately, our pets at home dont have a vets. I shall start my search and just continue with the Forum and Guinea Pig magazine. Thank you ❤🐹
