Finally Out In The Sun!

It was finally warm enough to get ALL the pigs out in the sun. I have to make sure its warm as we have a skinny and she needs it warmer than what the others piggies would be happy in and I don't like leaving her behind. They have been having regular grass in preparation for this :)

Do you have to put sun cream on the skinny or do you just make sure they aren't in any direct sun?
 
I make sure that their run is shaded so the sun can't harm her :)
 
They look to be having a great time. It feels like summer once the piggies can get on the grass, doesn't it? They are all lovely, but who is the gorgeous ginger and white?
 
Aw it's such a great feeling to get the piggies on the lawn, I'm sure they all agree :) Mine were out yesterday too, just for half an hour to get them into it again. Giving it a miss today but hoping to let them out again tomorrow :)
Just loving the picture of your boar and one of the sows snuggling up under the wicker tunnel there. Just such a look of contentment :)
 
I have 2 of those blankets :) Love them!

My piggies are currently looking at the pics of your piggies in the run in EXTREME jealousy because I live in a flat so they can't get outside on the grass lol.

I didn't realise skinny pigs can go outside, can you tell if it's warm enough just by touch?
 
They can go out as long as it is warm enough and clear of any wind chill or drafts. I judge by, if your own bare skin is warm outside then the skinny should be fine. Always make sure the run in shaded to shield from the sun too.
 
Also you need to make sure the grass/soil underneath is dry, no dampness etc.
 
They loved it! Especially Gwen, although she did still beg for attention at the bars!

Hey, it's only the beard that had a slight ginger haze! :)) I say 'had' because it 'fell off' about 10 minutes ago :whistle: :D
 
Springtime yay! I'm so jealous of you and the piggies. ;) We need some sunshine over here, please! :D Have fun in the lovely green grass!
