Haven’t put many pigtures on this year so here’s my first post of two.

Finally built my first c&c unit, a 2-tier 6x2. Rex, Rhubarb & Custard in top deck & Mitch, Minky, Minnie & Mother in bottom deck. I took the plastic connectors off the bottom joints after cable tying them so that the Correx fitted neater. The bottom was then fastened to plywood & carpet tiles base with 2 p-clips per grid. I’ve just got some perspex sheet to put along front of top deck so I can see the piggies easier. As it is I have to tip toe to see them over the Correx front.

Here’s 3 pics:-

Hey Stewy, bet you are proud of your creation, and bet the piggies are loving the space to zoom around in.
How is Minky nowadays, is she fully recovered?

How is Minky nowadays has she fully recovered from the head tilt?

It's looking very much like her head tilt is here to stay. We've tried lots of things including Baytril, Zithromax & Lapizole but she was taken off meds just over 3 weeks & has stayed just the same. If she'd got worse then Septrin would have been the next treatment. She's also put weight on 6 of the last 7 weeks so is managing to get her fair share of food. Minky is the one in the bottom deck in the litter tray at the back between the piggy loo & veggie food bowl.

It is a shame you can never get to the bottom of things sometimes, glad to hear she has gained weight though.
I was back at the vets today with Marigold, bad infection in the back of her eye, vet treating with antibiotics, drops and painkillers, but it is looking really nasty at the mo.
Marigold looks like your ginger and white guinea in top deck.

@Stewybus love the new setup. Can I ask where you got the table from that you have your new setup on, I have been struggling to find anything big enough to put a 6x2 c&c set up on.

thanks

The table is a one off. I saw in on Preloved & went to Newcastle-upon-Tyne to collect it. It had originally cost the previous owners over a £1000 but they were selling for £30 so worth the 80 mile round trip. It wouldn't dismantle so had a right struggle getting it into the room so looks like it's there for good.

I'm hoping to put perspex on front of top run in next few days, will post another pic when it's finished.

just an idea. You could get a large sheet of thick ply or mdf delivered from your local builders merchants and attach that to an old table

It looks just like mine! I bet your piggies love it just as much!

Were your piggies at the top a bit scared of the ledge at first? It took poor Matthew a day before he realised the world didn't end at that edge.

There's 4 piggies. It's easy to miss one amongst the hay. There's Minnie (gingery brown with white nose) on the left with Mitch (brown & tan) to her right then Mother (brown & white) to his right then to her top left is Minky (grey & white).
