Finacard & Papelit

Hi everyone,

I normally use fleece in my 2x4 c & c cage; however, I need a disposable bedding for a few weeks.

I am thinking of using finacard. When I looked on the finacard website, they do a pack with finacard and 15kg of papelit pellets. It states you could put a single layer of pellets down, with a thick layer of the finacard on top.

Has anyone tried this? Don't want to spend more if it's not worth buying the pellets, but would like to know if the layer of pellets underneath the finacard works to absorb more.

I use finacard on it's own and am very happy with this. I' ve never tried it with the paper it pellets - but can assure you finacard works well on its own.

Loved finacard.Used it for hamsters, hui was litter trays, eTa and gerbils.My girls slept on it I their litter trays so I know it was comfy.Using aubiouse at the moment and love that too

I just used finacard with newspaper underneath and that did the trick for me absorbed well and didn't get smelly I imagine the pellets would help increase absorption, but never found them necessary

Thanks very much for the advice everyone. Sounds like I can stick with just the finacard and save myself some £!
