Firstly sorry for not posting much on the forum. Life has been quite hard recently. I have been unwell in various ways and attending lots of hospital appointments.
Just to give a bit of background...
I had 4 piggies....
Leo
Thomas
Benjamin
Franklin
They all lived together till a fight broke out and Franklin got badly hurt.
So then I seperated them and had two groups of two.
All was going well till Benjamin passed away :0 Vet put it down to a stroke :0
Anyway I spent weeks re-introduing them as a group and in the end all was fine and all 3 were living together as a nice group.
They had all been fine together for months till today. This morning all was fine, this evening Franklin had half his ear missing and a mass of cuts to his back. The poor little guy is such an easy target.
I have taken him out of the group and he is in the hospital cage doing well. His wounds are all clean and apart from the ear none of them are deep.
My question is, once healed do I try and re-introduce Franklin or because this is the second time he has been targeted (by different guinea pigs) do I decide he is going to have to live alone but in view of the others? He is getting old now and is about 4 years of age. I don't want to stress him out with a new guinea pig as he is the kind of pig who stops eating with the slightest change.
