Hi, i adopted a pair of 3 month boars last week. I am a new guinea pig owner also. They have been fighting since a couple days after we got them, and one even scratched the others face. We separated them to see how they get on, they didnt move or eat. But when they are together, they come out and take food but fight. I’m not sure what to do, someone help.

Where did you adopt them from, was it a rescue or someone private? Boar trios are a rarity and with your three coming up to the start of their teenage phase (4-14 months), there is likely to be a fallout. Please separate into one single and a pair. Put the single in a cage next to the pair (that get on) so he can still have the interaction he needs. The pair needs at least 150x60cm and the single at least 120x60cm.

It’s difficult because you can only have one top pig. And from the sounds of things two of them want to be the boss. Have a thorough read of the threads I’ve linked below.
