Since my rescue piggie had to have a cyst removed from his butt, his cage mate (1 year younger,)he has been fighing! ..... big time. I'm talking proper fighting round the floor kind of fighting. I now have them separated in a bedroom floor space cage. This works. Is it ever going to be resolved? I plan to put them out soon in the garden.
They've always got on outside..

Hi

Please follow the advice in the guide link below. An operation recovery can upset the hierarchy if the leader is perceived as weakened. It can lead to takeover attempts and at the worst to fall-outs.

It all depends on whether your boys are willing to be together when the chips are down or if being the leader is more important. But there is unfortunately no miracle trick that can influence the outcome. It depends on the personality and the nature of the relationship in each individual case.

More information on temporary separations and intros on neutral ground; personally I would rather give it a couple of days in case it is a hormone spike and to give your boys time to work out their priorities.

I assume that you are not in the UK as we currently don't have the weather to put any piggies outside right now?
