Fighting Piggies

Hi guys!
We don't have two males we have to females but they keep fighting over food and one of my guinea pigs keeps blocking the other. I don't get when they fight and then they are best friends the next min why do they do this? Any answer will be appreciated thanks Jessiesassy

I think this needs to be moved to behaviour so @Wiebke can help Do you have 2 of everything for them? 2 bowls, hideys etc?

Hi!

Some sows can be very dominant, and you have to treat them like boars. Make sure that they have everything in twos - bowls, water bottles and hideys, each item spaced well apart from the same item - at least a body length, so the more dominant one can't hog it all. if necessary, have a third bowl for you underpiggy to go to.

Weigh your girls once weekly throughout their lives in order to monitor their health, but at the moment especially to make sure that your undersow is getting enough food.
