Morning
I have come in to find this going on. Can some please explain it or knowhow to calm it all down

Baxter is being a rumbley bum so I am assuming Flip is in season. He goes to sniff her bum and she doesnt like. Some chasing happens and then it calms down. Next thing I know, Flip is trying to sniff baxter but he doesnt like it more chasing and squeeking (not in pain sqeeking) happens, that gets themselves in a tight ball and walk around in round in tight circles. There is no teeth chattering or anything going on.

Next thing I know is that it all quietens down and they are happy sitting together at one end. If one of them moves to the other end of the cage, the other follows and it all happens again.

Neither of them look to bothered with the other one but I am worried someone is going to get hurt.

Is this normal behaviour for a sow and nuetered boar together? Anything I can do to calm it all down?

Sounds like Flip is in season and they are exhibiting normal behaviour. It will be over again by tomorrow. Sows come into season about every two weeks. The first few with a new companion tend to be stronger.

Ive come home to find everything back to normal! Strange but thanks for the reply!

How long are sows in season for? I know its every couple of weeks but I never now how long its for?

It is usually about a day, only at the end of which sows are ready to mate, so you are bound to get a lot of drama in the run-up. Sows have a special whine during that time that translates as "I am not ready - YET!"

and that will be sound I have heard all morning!

Thank you :)
