i have 3 existing females and have adopted 2, a nutured male and his daughter from a home where they werent being cared for and ended up with bumble foot. I have a large s and c cage so introduced them through the cage being seperated. i have brought them together twice in the last couple of days we have had them and it ends up in a fight. we have figured out now its 1 of the existing females we had thats causing it as we can have the other 4 together and they are fine. Please help!

Only thing you can do is have a pair( boar and sow) and then the rest sows in their own group.

Hi and welcome

Please accept that not all mergers will work out as very often neither of the established group leaders will want to give up their position and an agreement cannot be reached.

Take the time to read these guides here to understand what is going on and make sure that you have a plan B in case the two groups don't gel. There is no magic wand trick that can ultimately change the outlook or personality. What may sound perfect on paper often fails in reality - the same that two human families will not necessarily gel when they have to share holiday accommodation. ;)

i put them in their outside run, seperated the one who was fighting. cleaned out all the cage and put the 4 that were getting along back in first and half an hour later introduced the other one so the wouldnt feel so territorial, there was 1 squabble anf then the teeth chattering stopped and they are all getting along great!

It is always difficult for us to judge the bonding dynamics just from members' reports. 'Fighting' can range from full-on bloody fights to the least sign of dominance behaviour. ;)

Glad that a second day bonding has worked out for you. It often does, but not by far not always.
