Hello, I have some fibreplex here I got for my bun. I’m going to give to help my girl as she’s on baytril. It’s goes by per kg. I weighed her this morning & shes 0.823 kg. I’m not sure what this means for doses for her as there’s a zero at start. Could anyone help on how much to give her please? Thank you

Sorry, I can remember what dosage I gave as it was some time ago that I used it but perhaps you could give your vet a ring and ask them?
Thank you. I’ve had an awful time with my vets & they are no longer providing care for them. Everything’s a big mess but I can’t go into it right now. Xx

Plus it was provided by another vet that my buns are registered at & the pigs aren’t registered there xx

Don’t know if it’s helpful but Phoebe was on 1ml of Fibreplex per day when she was ill.
As the tumour grew her weight dropped to under 1kg

Sorry things are a bit messy with the vets.
Hope the bun is ok

When I've had to give Fibreplex to my piggies, it was in a "syringe" with notches along the side. The pigs all were given one notch a day.
A bit more or less I imagine can't do any harm, it's a supplement not a drug.

Red's having one notch of the syringe twice a day. I mix it in his syringe food as he won't take it otherwise. Red is 1.4 kg so one notch (1ml) would probably be enough for your girl. It needs to be given with a gap before or after the antibiotic, I give it an hour before. There used to be a guide on the forum explaining the gap time etc but I can't find it.
I hope your bunny and piggie are okay and you can find a new vet soon.

Hi, thank you. I notch is the 1ml or whatever it is lol so sounds good to try. Thanks for heads up about giving with gap. I will give an hour before. Yes bun ok & piggie not so much. Got so much going on & had a hell of a time at vets. I’m going to do a post about what’s been going on but just not mentally ready now. I’m travelling to exotic vet on Tue with her xx

Hi, thank you. Yes people have said the 1 notch. Yes very true & she’s not got statis or anything so wouldn’t bung up her at all. Yes has notched & going to give the 1 notch xx

if you were directly syringing it to your rabbit (ie not mixing it into food) so the end has been in your rabbits mouth, then I personally would not use it for your piggy at all and would instead buy new
Hi, don’t worry I didnt use it for the rabbit. It was an unopened 1. I’ve been putting it on cucumber for piggy as she’s not to keen lol xx

Mixing fibreplex with recovery food to syringe feed often makes it more palatable, the exact amount doesnt matter as it is only a supplement but 1ml a day is fine, depending on the loss of appetite- I think after a nasty course of strong antibiotics for pneumonia we were mixing 1ml of fibreplex with 10mls of recovery food twice daily.

That’s the same as I was doing with Phoebe.
She was ok with that.
