Bekki
Senior Guinea Pig
Hi all,
I think this is my first post here so let me say hello ... hello! (its not my first post apparently its my 4th :-S)
I was wondering what accessories will be the most space efficient at all and general advice on which accessories are the best because I am not really up on which brands are the best for guineas ... I love ferplast for my hamster cages as they are good quality is it the same for the guienas?
background:
I am getting 2 female guinea pigs for my christmas present this year with a cage and I have decided on a Ferplast 140 as it is the largest easily available cage and it suits my house quite well size wise. I have seen the C&C cages and they look awesome but my mother stays at mine and has a dog that is a trained hunting dog and can jump 6ft with no run up ... C&C without a lid = dead guineas! even with a lid they dont look all that sturdy so I decided on a commercial cage because they it could be moved and should stand up to being moved more than some wire stuck together with cable ties! My plan is for my guineas to live in the dining room most of the time and when my mother is staying move the cage upstairs to my bedroom and keep a stairgate closed so the dog cant get upstairs at all so the guineas dont get scared. I am 20 not 5 so pets for xmas is fine I will care for them and I have had dogs, cats, fish, budgies etc in the past and I love animals, guinea pigs just caught my eye about a year ago and since then I have been set on getting a pair once I move out and I move out in about a month!
