Do females have a teenage phase like boys?

My 2 younger girls are about 7 months old now. They live with two 4 year old girls & neutered Alfie!

Ellie is my sweet, quiet, last in the pecking order, girl. Well until the last few days! This meek piggie has turned into a monster! She chases the others round, rumbles and generally annoys everyone! I guess she is in season but I haven't seen this behaviour before and Alfie isn't bothering her. Then again, he's probably trying to keep out of her way!

Is it hormones? Its not enough of an issue to cause problems, it's funny to watch, but I hope she gets over it!

It sounds like Ellie is coming into season My two older un-spayed girls get more excitable when they come into heat, particularly Maya.
She popcorns more often and calls Clyde, the boar next door, through the bars. Being in heat seems to make her happy!

It will most likely end within a few months. I have heard that females have hormonal phases, but there is nothing to worry about. Just separate them if it gets too aggressive.
