ok i have had my girls for almost 2 years. they usually get along ok, never great, but lately wicca has been particularly aggressive, and by lately i mean on and off for two months.
she has been rumblestrutting a lot (even tried to rumblestrut me), and chasing turtle around, and biting her bum and holding on when turtle tries to run away.
we have separated them once over night and it seemed to fix it for a few days, but i am worried if it doesn't get better.
what should i do?

Hi, I'm sure the experienced forum members will be along shortly to offer their advice but I would think about taking Wicca to the vets because of her change in behaviour just to be on the safe side. From reading on here it can be a sign of illness or ovarian cysts. It may be that they have just had a falling out but it does seem odd if they have been together two years. sorry I can't be of much help, hope they both are ok x

It sounds like Wicca has got a problem with her hormones; she is quite obviously very much/constantly in season. This is usually caused by small growing ovarian cysts, not the large ones that mainly older sows have. There is now an alternative to a spaying operation with hormone injections (which may need to be repeated). The product that is used for that is called chorulon.

It needs a vet visit at a preferably experienced guinea pig vet to see what he can find and which way forward is the best for him and you.
