So our muffin has been to the vet today who thinks it’s a infection with her reproductive area. She’s on antibiotics for next 5 days to see if that can clear it. But if it doesn’t our only other option is neutering her but apparently it’s really high risk and not often a good outcome. I don’t know if it’s worth trying that or just letting her go but only a month ago did we have to let go our first herd member because she had 9 lumps of cancer. :( any experiences ?

I've had 8 sows spayed in total now, all did extremely well. Make sure you find a vet who is a good surgeon, be wary of those who have low success rates, that isn't normal, it shows inexperience or improper post operative care by either the team or owner who hadn't been given correct post op advice. While surgery is higher risk in small furries than cats and dogs, it shouldn't be massively so.
