Sorry if this is in the wrong section, this seemed like the most appropriate! I have a cat who is crazy, more so than a young cat should be! It has been recommended that I try a Feliway plug in to try to calm him down.
The only place I would be able to plug it in is in the hallway, which is directly outside my guinea pigs room. Their cage is literally next to the door(So they don't get lonely and always get talked to!)
My question is, would this be okay, or would it be harmful to my boys?
Thank you in advance for any help!

Ive used Feliway before, also in my hallway which isn't far from my pigs and it didn't affect them in any way. I think it actually says on the box it doesn't affect any other animal.

Its meant to make the cat thinks its his smell, so yano when they rub against thing, there leaving their scent. So basically its meant to smell like that, so most likely your guinea pigs will know the smell of your cat anyway and it wont make the slightest bit of difference to them :)

He spends enough time sitting on top of their cage staring at them so I would imagine they would know him by now lol. Thank you for your help, fingers crossed the Fewliway works on him! xx

Haha yeah mine too! Or sitting on the chair watching them! Guarding them from stray cats!

Whats wrong with your little one anyway? Is he just really stressed out or? Does he just run about like a maniac sometimes? Haha.

Sounds like that kitty needs more interactive playtime with you. Try spending 20 minutes in the evening playing with toys with him and then feed him, see if after a week he doesn't calm down.

I used feliway because my cat sprays everywhere even though he's been neutered and it was plugged in the living room where my boys used to be and they were fine.It didn't make the slightest difference though.Maybe because we've too many cats lol

He's been with us for a few months now, had him neutered and that calmed him down, but he's still very manic. He bites a lot, more than normal bites and he seems to only sleep at night. I don't know if maybe I am just used to having older cats. I am hoping that the Feliway will just chill him out a little bit!
