I took Nancy to the vets this morning. It was a different vet to who I would normally see. She didn't clean the table from the previous dog 😞. I was going to ask her to but then she said she would leave her in the carrier for her injection so thought okay it will be fine. But then she took her out to weigh her on the scales that the dog had been on. The dog wasn't well with something. I'm really worried Nancy could get sick. My anxiety is not good. Regretting not saying anything now.

She will probably be fine, but I would definitely contact the vets to tell them about what happened because it is unhygienic and unprofessional.
Try not to worry too much, all you can do is just keep up with her usual health checks and take her to the vets if you notice something unusual. :)

I don't really want to cause a problem. I've not had a good experience previously with this vet which my normal vet knows. But Nancy needed her injection so didn't have a choice on going today. I came prepared to check dosage after what had happened previously. Wasn't expecting it to not be clean. I should have said something at the time and I'm kicking myself for it. Feel like I would find it hard to forgive myself if she got sick. I'm hoping it's unlikely it's something that will cross species.

If raising the issue with the veterinary practice will cause you more stress and anxiety, then don't do it- there is no need to put unnecessary pressure on yourself. ❤
Remember that it would not be your fault if Nancy got sick. You put your trust in the vet and paid money for their time and expertise and didn't expect them to do a bad job.
I'm glad you have another vet you can use in future- it's always rubbish when vets don't provide a good service.

Thank you. I appreciate that. Must tell myself this! My normal vet is fab
But Nancy is on a course of injections that's currently weekly so couldn't wait for my normal vet to be back.

That was very unprofessional, I'd be livid, I can understand how concerned you are. I'm not good at reporting things officially either and wouldn't do it. What I would do though is drop a comment into conversation with your nice vet. That way your concerns have been registered with someone.

Nancy took out her rage on the carrot houses when we got back. She was not impressed 🤣.

Don't worry they have loads more hay, I had just cleaned before I put the houses back in so hadn't put it all back. And they have part of the c&c that's just hay for burying.
