sorry I know I **** sound silly but Alans change in behaviour has me all dis-heartened :( I am really trying with all the tips from peoples help on here on how to talk to the piggies, reasure them etc and this seems to be working for pebbles, I'm so proud I can pick pebblesup by hand and have lap time but Alan who appeared the more confident friendly piggie just seems to be getting more distant (if that can happen with piggies like us humans) he even seems to make the rumbling, teeth chattering noises near me now not necessarily to pebbles. He doesnt even like being held in snuggle sack which he was fine with last week.

There doesnt appear to be any hair thinning, loss but I cant get close enough for a brilliant look! ? anything medical to explain the change in behaiour. I just cant tell if they are happy, I'm doing something wrong or if thats just how he going to be :(((

I have had my piggies for almost 2 years and they still rumble at me sometimes. I think like us humans they sometimes don't always feel like being cuddled and fussed over. I would suggest you keep on doing what your doing.
Is Alan eating and pooing properly?

I'm positive that you are doing everything right and you really shouldn't be beating yourself up about the piggy behaviour. Sometimes certain piggies take a little longer than others to settle down and sometimes they can just be grumpy piggies! :) Please try not to let the behaviour spoil your experience of being a new piggy mum, it can be a little dis-heartening when they dont behave in a way you would like or expect but please remember its perfectly normal and they are still getting used to everything too. I'm sure if you continue to do everything you are doing, in a few weeks you will wonder what you ever worried about!

As regards the mite prevention issue, you can buy a spot on (xeno 450) which you can put on every month to ensure no problems. There is also Xeno 50 for smaller piggies.

Your not doing anything wrong :) As Milhaven said dont beat yourself up about it. Give him time and I'm sure he will settle.
My boys sometimes chatter or rumble at me and ive had them for a year now. Once one of mine jumped out my hands, he didnt fall very far or hurt himself but he chattered at me constantly for a week, even tho he was the one who jumped! :))
Chin up, you'll be a fanstastic piggy mum x
