Whats everyone planning to get for father's day, my dad is a pain in the butt and is awkward ::) He's awkward with deodrant and he's still got 4 boxes of Lynx i got for crimbo :P He also has about 6 mugs i get him one every year, for every special occasion :D

I have been trying to get a hold of a Diesal Zero deo stick but there hard to fid, so i need ideas people i have no idea what to get that doesn't cost a bomb, i'm low on money ;D

What about making him a photo album of the family with captions under each one?

Aww bless if i bought mine slipers he's throw them at my head, he don't do slippers says there for oldies ;D he doesn't like footie or anything normal i can buy, why are dads so blooming fussy :tickedoff:

My mam was sooooo much easier, i ended up spending over £30 on Mother's day there were so many fab things to get, i'm lucky to spend £1.99 on him cos he doesn't like anything ::)

M dads not the type to want to havea photo album thing, it's not his sort of thing, awkward or what ::)

I bought that for chrimbo just gone, cos i ran out of pressie ideas the to. ::) I'm hoping i can save up enough for the new givengy (sp) blue bottle that he likes, but it's more expensive thn i can afford, maybe if i can get my bro to go halfs on it i can afford it :-\

He's not an animal person either, grrrrrr i hate father's day there so picky and the stuff they do in cards shops aren't fathery like teddies and stuff >:(

Lol my dad likes none of those things ::) except diy he was hinting on a drill kit but i don't have £45 pare and of course helike the givinchy (sp) stuff soif my brother saved up and my mam put some oney in for my sister one of those things would be a god joint pressie. If not it's a pair of socks and another father's day mug to his collection ;D

;D

My dad would say 'had your thinking cap on for that didnt you, and how old do you think i am' ;D ;D

I think with things like that its hardly worth it cos if they wanted slippers, they can get a pair for a couple of quid! ;D I *try* and be thoughtful but they are so blimmin awkward! ;D

Well my Dad wears slippers. And I cant afford to get him anything else.

haha, luckily my Dad never decided to go for a younger woman!
Thats cos Mum died 14years ago, hes not met anyone since and said he doesnt want to.

Nah I'd hate him to go with someone else. Its just me and Dad at home, I hate it even when we have visitors lol. We both have our routines and know what each others routines are and what each other likes. So if theres anyone else in the house it mucks it up!

I'd hate to lose my mam aswell, we have such a close, strong bond. I've always thought she was a mum in a million and i'm sooooooooo lucky she's mine :smitten:

My dads 41 this year and my mam will be 51, 10 year difference but she always gets compliments by people saying she looks in her 30's unlike my dad ;D

Looks like it's socks and a cup this year again ;D

I fight like cat and dog with my dad, everyday theres some argument going on about nothing but it never lasts long can't stay angry at him forever ::) I think it's more cos here so stubborn and so much like each other, in things like our temper that the often flare and we'll never give in no matter who's in the wrong. Still love him though no matter how annoying he is no buy for :embarassed:

Out of my whole family my strongest bond is with my mam though, we share so much in common and can do loads of shopping with each other without getting bored in each others shops cos we like the same stuff. We do spend a little to much time with each other though so we can annoy each other ait to ;D

I only have a Dad too (I don't know my Mum) so I'm extremely appreciative of my Dad (even though we had BIG disagreements - get deju vu sometimes on here when I read NatNat's posts about her and her Dad's disagreements as they are very familiar lol)

I'm not sure what I'm getting him yet. Might see what I can find that he will like - he likes model planes although I can't afford one of them, dvds, books, etc, so I can work around that. I find it hard to get cards though as they are stereotypical as they always mention golf, football etc which is not what he is into lol

That sounds so much like me and my Dad at times too!

I hate my dad. All I remember when I was growing up was him being cruel and beating up my mum, then he started on me when I was 11 or 12. He was ashamed of my brother who is autistic and wouldn't be seen out with him. He spolied my sister rotten and she was the only one he showed affection to. He left my mum years ago, thank God and doesn't even know his grand children. Sad loser.

Sorry, shouldn`t have posted that really :o Gets to me still after all these years :embarassed:

I have the same problem with cards to, not all dads are into golf etc like mine but i found a fab card cute of a bear nailing together the dad sign with nails which was the best i could find, seemed fitting as h's the one who built my rabbit hutch, run and is buildingme a new piggie cage :)

Worse thing is it's his birthdayin August which is pretty close to Father's day and i'll be going through this all over again finding something fo that to ::)

I'll have a look through the internet sites, boun to besomething i can order for father's day :)

My dads not into football or sports, so I always make him a fathers day card and put something to do with DIY on there - also tend to get him clothes as he loves stuff like socks, T shirts and shirts :)
