Hello!
Our 5 year & 7 month old buy, Gibson, has a lump.
I didn't notice it yesterday, when I went for a chin rub, but today I had him out for a cuddle (instead of working!), and noticed it - it's soft and squidgy, sort of on his front chest area/a little way down his neck, and if I move it around I can definitely feel a harder lump inside. the big fat ball is I'd say large plum-sized, the smaller, hard lump is grape-sized. He wasn't bothered by me touching it, it doesn't seem to be causing any issues, he is still eating like a pig!
I know he should to go the vet, but I am wary of taking him out in the current temperatures, for a drive to Northampton. He is really feeling the cold and is forever on his hot pad and sitting against the part of the cage nearest the heater. Is it worth monitoring it or should I really be taking him out to see someone? He seems quite old, and though feisty and full of beans, frailer since the weather has changed (he's a summer-loving piggie!).
Thank you all for your advice!
