Hoping someone with some sewing knowledge can help me out. I looking for make a fabric tunnel for my boys but can't seem to work out what sort of foam to use to keep it upright. The type that can be washed over and over. Does anyone know?

Don't worry about me selling designs, I'm too lazy to make any to sell :lol!:

You need wadding. Like this:

I don't know if you will get it cheaper elsewhere (most haberdasheries should have it), this is my local shop which is why I went for that link. I used the thicker one for my cuddle cup and snuggle sack. You can always use multiple layers of any of them for a stiffer end product.

I have 4oz wadding but it didn't manage to stay up or I'm doing something wrong haha x

Awww, will it stand up a few layers? You can get wadding up to 14oz which would be 1.5" thick, I don't know if you can get thicker than that but then it gets thicker to sew.:)

Haha! I used 6oz so mine did stay up. However, you could use 2 layers of 4oz and that would work really well. The 6oz has flopped a little bit but that's because the little porkers don't use the cup and sack as they are meant to!

I'll give it a try. Please wish my sewing machine luck since it hates anything thick xD

If it is better than my previous attempts I will happily post a photo :D

My machine stresses me out too ¬__¬

I used what dunelm called a medium thickness wadding and just made the internal diameter extra big so that i could then fold the tunnel ends over and roll them up in a way so they hold themselves open :) Other than that i’d assume the picture you first show has boning in it similar to corsets and things, that holds it open :)
