Has anyone used the F10 aerosol fogger in a house before please? I'm having a nightmare with ringworm. I'm cleaning with F10 and washing on 60C and doing an imaverol dip every 3 days and I've still found a new patch of ringworm and they've had 3 washes so far. I'm wondering if anyone knows what effect the fogger has on carpet, books etc. They are in my bedroom, I'm wondering if I'm transferring ringworm spores from my carpet etc into their cage ( they have a large cage on the floor I have to climb into). I didn't expect them to get a new patch while I'm doing the imaverol.

Thank you

I have thank you. I'm unable to get intrafungol. But I've been following everything else with imaverol and currently it doesn't seem to be working as hoped which is why I'm wondering if it's my carpet that is reinfecting them. They barely have any ringworm now it's tiny patches that have come up but obviously it's still there.

You say “washes”. Just to be clear. With imaverol you don’t wash it off. You soak the piggy all over (avoiding the eyes- I use a small sponge) then you leave it on until they dry. You don’t bathe them.
Have your vets actually diagnosed the ringworm? If so, you should be able to ask your vets to prescribe Itrafungol - if they don’t dispense it they should be able to give you the prescription and then you can buy it online at a cheaper price.

No I don't wash it off, I just towel dry them afterwards so they don't get too cold.

My vets use injections but I've not read anything about this? Are fungal injections safe? At the moment the new patches are so tiny with them being treated so I don't think my vet would prescribe anything.

Did your vet examine & diagnose them with ringworm?

Tiny patches will continue to get bigger, shed spores and keep the infection going. A knowledgeable vet would get on top of ringworm regardless of the current size of any patches as it is highly contagious and needs everything thrown at it from the beginning to stop it from escalating

With ringworm it’s false economy to cut corners/expense with treatment. Itrafungal or sporonox are very expensive but the most effective treatment for ringworm. Most vets will prescribe and dispense it if asked. Or will give you a prescription so you can buy online.
