Eyes popping out?

Hi,

I was in my local pet shop today, and saw a guinea pig with what looked like a growth on his eye. The manager told me that they had sold him, and he'd been returned like that.

The manager says that he's sure that the people who had this guinea pig squeezed him so hard that his eye popped out. This sounds dreadful but is it even possible? I've searched the internet about it but I can't find anything about guinea pigs eyes popping out.

He hasn't been taken to a vet, and there are no plans to take him to one.

Has anyone heard of this happening?
 
I'm not sure about this but you should get the RSPCA involved about it and the lack of vet treatment,or get him your self and get him to a rescue who can help him..
 
I've not heard of it ever happening, there are many different eye problems, but I agree with both Claires - if the pet shop is denying the animal treatment it obviously needs, they need to be reported. The guinea certainly shouldn't be up for sale!
