My baby, (actually 6 years old) Bebz, was already having trouble with her left eye, (she scratched it) so she was prescribed eyedrops that I give to her twice daily. However, I noticed today she had a small piece of hay (or fur) suck to her eye. I gave her the eyedrops thinking it would flush out but it didn't. I tried wiping it with a q-tip but that didn't work either. Finally, I very carefully got a hold of it and pulled it out, but I immediately stopped when I saw white goop coming with it. I was terrified it was the whites of her eyes, but now I'm thinking it's discharge? Has anyone else been through this and should I go to the vet? Thank you for reading.

Hi

Please have the eye checked in case it is ulcerating gunk from an infection in a scratch under the eyelid.
