Eye Problems

Hello,

My Guinea pig had an ulcer on this eye a couple of months ago. The eye completely cleared with antibiotics. She now has a small lump in the corner of her eye and on the lower lip of her eye. She is eating and drinking etc normally so I don't think it's causing her any discomfort. Is it fatty eye? Or the beginning of another ulcer? Anybody any ideas what it is and whether I need to take her to the vets again?

I would recommend to have it checked by your vet. It may be harmless, but it could also be cause by conjunctivitis .
 
I agree with Wiebke. Anything to do with eyes can develop very quickly, so I would definitely get your piggy to the vet to be sure.
 
Thanks guys. Took her to the vets this morning and she has antibiotic eye drops for a week. No ulcer which is good though just some inflammation. Thanks for the advice
