Eye problem

My guinea pig has a reddish inflammation on the bottom of her eye. She appeared to have a hair on her eye when I noticed it . She does not seem seem to be in pain. Does anyone know what this might be ?

At a guess, It looks like an inflamed conjunctiva. I would have her seen by a vet as she is likely to need eye drops which only a vet can prescribe. Eyes can deteriorate fast if left untreated

Whatever it is needs looking at by the vet. Eyes are treated the same for all animals so piggy can be seen by a general vet.

Thanks everyone. The vet gave me eyedrops for her and said it was similar to a dogs Cherry eye.
