Hi there, Iā€™ve had my rescue boys 2 weeks now and the other day I noticed a very small scratch near Kiroā€™s left eye. This has since healed no problem but the white in this eye looked a little more prominent today and tiny bit more wet looking šŸ‘€. The right looks normal. Iā€™m going to get them both checked by a vet as soon as I can anyway but I thought Iā€™d ask you lovely folks in the meantime if you think this is just part of the healing process or a separate problem? Thanks in advance.

Hi!

This is unconnected and not uncommon as piggies get older; it may eventually develop into pea eye.
But it is worth having the eye checked for potentially a conjunctivitis.

I would however not panic.

I see what you mean, the membrane (?) at the bottom of his left eye definitely looks bigger than normal. Not sure that it's related to the earlier scratch, maybe it's conjunctivitis or some other condition. Hopefully a health & illness specialist will be along soon, but a vet visit is definitely i order I think. Best of luck !

Editted to add - Wiebke got there first ...
