Eye Licking?

Hi, I've noticed over the last day or so that Patches is licking Bubbles eye, Bubbles sits very still and doesn't seem to mind this at all but I wondered if this was normal or if Patches could potentially do some harm to Bubbles if this carries on?

These two have lived together for 4 years now so I don't think its a new dominance type of behaviour, or is it?

Anyone else seen this?
