On Friday I noticed a hay poke in my Guinea pigs eye and it was late at night when I had noticed and no vets were open and if they were they didn’t take exotic animals. The next morning I woke up early and called around and all of the places were booked or extremely expensive and didn’t include the medicine fee just the examination. This is my first Guinea pig and my parents told me to find eye drops and that’s what I did should I still contact a vet or is it going to get better..?

Please see a vet promptly for any eye injury.
It doesn’t need to be an exotic vet as eyes are the same across all species so any vet can help.

Eyes need to be seen within 24 hours of the injury occurring as they deteriorate quickly without the correct treatment.

A vet will need to use a fluorescent dye to check the extent of any damage, they will need to check that there is not any hay still stuck under the eyelid and continually causing scratching.
The correct antibiotic eye drops and painkillers will need to be prescribed for an eye injury.
A lubricant is also recommended to aid healing.
Eyes do heal well provided the correct and prompt treatment is sought.

Hello and welcome to the forum. I hope you can get your piggy seen today at the vets. Good luck.

Please do try to get your piggy seen promptly by a vet - any vet can see an eye injury. But leaving it or trying to home treat an eye injury is a false economy. Eyes can get worse very suddenly so need prompt attention.
