Hello I am new to this site and new to owing a Guinea pig. I have a skinny pig or a hairless one whatever your prefer calling them but the issue I am wondering about is his eye discharge. I know it’s normal for the white stuff to come out of his eyes and he cleans himself with it and that’s fine but a few months after we got him he definitely developed an issue with one of his eyes where he was just constantly secreting it and it even was solid at times around his eye. Obviously we took him to the ER right when we noticed it wasn’t the normal amount or consistency. They let us know he was very healthy and may have just had some eye irritation or some slight infection possibly, they gave us eye drops and In a few days he was seemingly back to normal. We finished his eye drops and went on with life. Now I don’t know if I’m just paranoid but it seems to me that he secrets more often of his left eye than his right (his left eye being the eye with the problem) the doctor told us he didn’t have anything stuck in his eye and with the drops should be just fine. He hasn’t secreted it anywhere near like how he did then and it has not gotten solid or stayed on his face but I swear his left eye is secreting it more than the right one. Sorry for the long setup I ramble I’m just wondering if I should be worried about this we literally just moved so I don’t have a vet for him here yet just places I can take him for emergency care. I also apologize for grammar/punctuation

It’s always best to err on the side of caution with eyes. I would definitely have him checked again.
Does he live with another guinea pig?

No he doesn’t love with another piggy I feel bad about that because I know they are social I’ve been planning on getting him a friend once we finished moving in and setting up the house.
