So, another washing machine bites the dust in our house. The first time was age related and this time upon checking, and despite washing my fleece in a filter bag (which occasionally comes loose) I am STILL clogging my filter with hay and stuff (amongst other problems) and to be honest, what with having two cages, I am getting a little tired of all the additional washing. One load for all the towels, a load for each giant fleece plus a load for fleecy beds.

So I am researching other methods of bedding and aubiose seems worth a try. I don't like megazorb and fitch is expensive. Hay and newspaper wouldn't be enough for my lads, and I hear this is super absorbent.

What are peoples experiences? is there anything I haven't thought of that I could try? Thoughts appreciated for this frustrated slave!

If you order Fitch from Fitch recycling its only £17 and it last me over 2 months

My boys are on aubiose, its absorbant and keeps the stinky boar smell down ;)

I use it too! I'm not 100 satisfied with it as gets very wet under the water bottles but I put some wood based cat litter in that section which seems to have solved the problem. I find it less absorbant than megazorb but that is too dusty

I have just starting to use equisorb £6.20 for a huge bag it is a flax bedding so far very impressed with it no smells and absorbant and no dust what so ever.
